The first stop for any company for export trade financing assistance is the local bank. Not every bank offers the same services so comparative shopping is a must. For contact information on banks and investment offices in your state, click on:

Export Finance Matchmaker (U.S. Department of Commerce Office of Finance) The Export Finance Matchmaker (EFM) is designed to match, via the Internet, U.S. exporters with sources of export financing or risk mitigation. EFM supports a variety of export financing products.

In addition to private sources of financing, there are a number of
government organizations that exist to assist companies with their export venture. These federal governmental organizations offer services that range from export loan guarantees to loan assistance. Additionally, each local state government offers different services that could assist firms with their export financing. Click on one of the following:

Although a number of private and government financing programs exist, not all meet the individual needs of U.S. exporters. A field of alternative financing services has emerged to assist U.S. exporters when regular banking options and government assistance just aren't enough.
